A truly fun program that leverages juggling balls to help you establish good vision habits and create a routine for consistent practice of natural vision improvement techniques which play a critical role on your way to regaining the eyesight you desire.
In just over two months and through 14 short sessions presented authentically in the form of unedited recordings of the original online live event (Juggling for Vision Challenge) you will create a foundation necessary for a successful eyesight improvement journey. In this one-of-a-kind series you will join Irena Castle, Overbound founder and eyesight development coach, as she learns how to juggle, and as she highlights numerous vision habits and leads you to your own vision discoveries in a way that motivates you to practice vision improvement frequently and consistently.
Note: This is a self-taught / follow-along program. In order to protect the privacy of the original event participants, the Q&A sessions are not included among the recordings (even if the videos may mention it). The Q&A sessions took shape of social gatherings and any relevant challenges were addressed in the subsequent live sessions. Therefore your ability to follow through the program with ease remains unaffected. If you end up having questions, you may ask them on Facebook.
“I sent out a survey in the fall of last year, asking those who have worked on their vision improvement to share their thoughts, wins, and struggles that they have encountered on their journey to better eyesight. I received a great number of answers from all around the world, which was exciting for me, as it reminded me of the breadth of the impact Overbound brings to the world. After a little celebration it was time to analyze the results. The thing that slows most people down is CONSISTENCY, or rather the lack of consistent practice, the lack of a routine. The reason behind it is that the practices often fall short of fun and entertainment. When you start your vision improvement journey, you get excited by the possibility of seeing again or seeing better, your hormonal balance changes temporarily, your adrenaline carries you through the first days. Then you hit a wall. The hormones calm down. Your initial excitement and your self discipline gives in.
Well I have a solution for that. Whether you are brand new to eyesight improvement, or you have been on your journey for a while, seeing progress but struggling with staying in the game, I invite you to treat yourself to this “Juggling for Vision” habits & routine building sessions. The event was originally called a “challenge”, but it ended up being more of a social event with a greatly rewarding purpose. Playing with balls has a ton of visual benefits, which are addressed later on this page. In short though, it is FUN, ENGAGING, and it promotes taking REPETITIVE ACTION.
This is not an ordinary program. Through the replays of the live original challenge that took place in the fall of 2022 you will learn to juggle, and you will see me do the same alongside you. Wait, WHAT?!?!?! Yes, you read it well. When the challenge was put in place I was not able to juggle three balls. I was able to toss the balls (one or two), I could even toss them in a juggle style manner, but I could not juggle all three.
So, how was I able to teach juggling and why should you go for it? Well, I have worked with big and small balls in my athletic practice. I know how fun they are to train with, how engaging they are, and what great results they bring to my sports clients’ eyesight skills. So I took all the proven principles, applied them to juggling, and watched some great stuff happen for the people who joined the event. Check out the testimonials to see and hear how participants felt about the program and what they were able to accomplish.
The replay of the challenge event is now available to you (including some of our ups and downs, successes and struggles, and the tips of how to get through them). Get in, should you like to establish your good vision habits, and to create a routine that will allow you to practice vision consistently, so that the eyesight skills that you are after get within your reach.”
- Irena
RESULTS:
“Over 80% of participants of the original challenge were able to establish a natural vision improvement practice routine that helps them practice their eyesight frequently.”
“EVERY participant who followed the process learned new vision habits that they now apply in the way they look every day, all the time.”

BEFORE YOU SAY: “I CAN’T”
No matter what your physical ability is, you can do this. The original event hosted participants of all ages and abilities, men and women, some in their 30s, others 70+ ! Granted, you may not make it onto the world juggling stage (neither did the participants nor the host), but that is not a reason to stay behind. You are here to practice your vision, correctly, and consistently. It does not matter where you start and where you end. You can even juggle in a sitting position if you must. In fact, you do not have to juggle at all, you can just choose to use the balls for the benefit of your brain and eyes. Even if you play with one training ball, you will get results.
WHY JUGGLING?
Well, first and foremost, it helps you create a practice routine:
-
Have you ever seen a juggler who is bored, disengaged? No! They always seem to have fun.
-
Enjoyment is critical in generating repetitive engagement, which over time leads to … wait for it … CONSISTENCY! Ha! Gotch’ya! Instead of “forcing” ourselves to practice, we will have fun, over and over again, to teach ourselves the habit of daily eyesight practice.
-
It will teach you PATIENCE WITH YOURSELF and ability to recognize subtle improvement. There are steps we will follow, starting with something as basic as bouncing a ball in your hand. Unlike with vision, where progress can be subtle, you will notice immediately when your throw is smoother, more confident, an inch higher, and you will learn to feel victorious!
-
It will teach you to look at failure as learning. We will start by dropping the balls, over and over again, so that it becomes so normal to you, that you no longer fear it, so that you simply accept that it is part of the learning process.
Additionally, the impact of juggling on your vision is mind blowing:
-
Seeing happens here and now. Your eyes must be engaged in order for you to catch a ball. Juggling will promote ACTIVE LOOKING WITH INTEREST AND CURIOSITY while completely eliminating staring
-
Given the neural connection between those parts of your body with the visual system, having loose and well exercised neck and shoulders is nearly a prerequisite for good vision practice.
-
You cannot juggle well by only moving your eyes. For those with Astigmatism, this practice is your dream! You will be moving your eyes in many directions and many patterns, and the head will follow.
-
Juggling naturally utilizes the full spectrum of vision. Plus, us being Overbound, we will push this skill of yours beyond its current limits.
-
So critical for balance!
-
Vision field extension (for those heavily myopic), binocular vision, saccadic movement, smooth pursuit, etc.
Name another vision training technique that has the ability to deliver this many benefits and that can do it in a really fun way. Right! There isn’t one.
So, ARE YOU IN?
WHY DOES IT TAKE TWO MOTHS?
Establishing a new habit requires building new neural pathways (those that tell you every day that it is time to practice your vision) and erasing the old ones (those that make you procrastinate). While a new neural pathway is created in as little as 25 days, it takes the rest of about 67 days to erase the old one. Therefore, given this program’s main goal is to help you establish an eyesight practice routine, the program takes just shy of 70 days from kick-off to wrap-up.
WHAT IS THE COMMITMENT/HOW DOES IT WORK?
“The frequent short sessions made me accountable. Slowly adding a new task and building a foundation helped me be successful in juggling and my vision improvement tasks.”
- PARTICIPANT
You receive all the replays at once, so you can learn at your own speed. It is recommended that you watch two videos for the first 3 weeks, then one video every week after that.
With the exception of the kick-off session, which is about 30 minutes long, each subsequent video session is 10-15 minutes long and consists of a short talk (no more 5 minutes) about a selected vision improvement related topic. For the rest of the time (5-10 minutes), you will learn a new step in the juggling learning process, and you will practice.
Then, of course, you will need to juggle every day for a few minutes. You will be given tips for how to stay consistent. You will have fun, guaranteed! So it will be less of a challenge than you think.
WHY WILL IT WORK?
“I already knew several habits from other vision improvement classes or courses taken over the past several years. My issue was to keep doing something daily! Tying a vision practice with juggling is a good rule.”
- CARRIE MORRIS
From the perspective of vision, the engagement of your eyes, brain and body in this very fluid manner will promote relaxation and make new skill learning easier.
From the perspective of building consistency of practice, there are a few reasons why this will work.
First, it is easy to engage with something that is fun.
You can make it a family event, or something you do with your friends (you can count practice minutes online).
The kick off video will give you tools that will help you get through the moments when you do not want to do it.
You will see results fast, which will make you excited, and cause your body to release dopamine, which will then make you want to do more of this over and over again!
“I really enjoyed the challenge. I found it to be a lot of fun. I practiced very regularly after my morning walk.”
- ESTHER FRIESEN
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
SET OF 3 JUGGLING BALLS
A set of 3 balls that fit in your hand. Best are soft balls that do not run away when dropped. If you would like to use the Overbound Balls designed for vision training, check out their features below. You can get them in the shop. If you prefer to use other juggling balls, feel free to go for it. Keep in mind that tennis balls are not ideal, as they are hard and bounce too much, which makes the learning significantly more difficult. Remember, this is for fun, not for frustration.
TIMER / ALARM CLOCK
You will need to schedule juggling into your day, so you will need an alarm to tell you when it is time to start. You will also need a timer to tell you when you can stop juggling. The best thing is to simply download a clock/timer app on your phone, that is if you do not have one already.
TRACKER
Once we start, you will want to track your progress. Progress makes you happy and happiness will motivate you to come back the next day and do it again (remember, this is a program for establishing a consistent practice routine). You can download a tracker below.
CLARITY TRAINER (optional)
To further enhance this program, you will be shown how to leverage the juggling movements to expand your peripheral awareness and how to learn several other vision skills through ball play. For that purpose we will be using the Overbound Clarity Trainer. If you do not have one yet, you can learn all about it here, or you can order one from the shop. If you do not want one yet, you can participate in the challenge without it and simply leave this part out.
