WHAT IS BEING TAUGHT?
PERIPHERAL VISION EXPANSION
Peripheral vision is critical for the overall health of one’s vision. Most of visual rods (the receptors responsible for seeing movement and seeing in the dark) are located in the peripheral zone of the human eye. An eye with well developed periphery is an eye with a wide visual field, and eye that detects movement quickly, an eye that registers what is coming up as focus changes.
All this results in a safer walking, driving, reading and prevents tunnel vision.
EYE ACTIVATION
Many new vision students realize that one of their eyes is more engaged in seeing than the other. This situation is more pronounced for those with strabismus or amblyopia. Even a slight disengagement of one eye puts more pressure onto the other eye and may result in higher levels of strain and further eyesight problems. Therefore, activating an eye that is falling behind is a key step in reaching proficiency of one’s visual skills.
BINOCULAR & 3D VISION DEVELOPMENT
Binocular vision lets us see space. Without it, the world is flat and we are unable to judge distance. In order for binocular vision to exist, both eyes must work together in tandem, talk to each other. The better binocular vision, the better our depth perception, or 3D vision. It lets us accurately judge the size of an object in the distance, space between two objects or the speed of a moving object. It is quite useful while changing lanes on a highway, parallel parking, or playing sports.

Overbound Clarity trainer has a design similar to high-end sports glasses with a sleek and contemporary looking frame. The frame and all lenses are made with TR90 Nylon to ensure comfort, flexibility and durability. They are resilient to damage, and are ready for anything that may happen during your eyesight improvement journey.

FIVE SHIELDS FOR MULTIPLE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
Clarity features five (5) black fully opaque vision obstruction shields. Each shield was designed to train one or more specific eyesight skills:
Peripheral vision (near, mid and far, lower and upper)
Eye activation
Binocular vision and depth perception (3D vision)
Eye-body coordination
Together, they also allow for gradual increase in training difficulty.
THE ANATOMY OF EACH SHIELD RESPECTS THE NEED FOR CONSTANT PERIPHERAL AWARENESS
Lack of peripheral awareness is common for many people. Living mostly indoors and being singly focused on computers and smart phones for many hours of the day has led visual rods (responsible for seeing movement) to go dormant. Keeping peripheral vision engaged at all times helps reverse the status quo, and wakes up the sleeping photo receptors, allowing for the eye as a whole to function with ease and at a significantly higher level.
MAGNETIC ATTACHMENT SYSTEM
Changing the shields takes just a few seconds thanks to a thoughtfully designed magnetic attachment system, protecting valuable practice time.
ADJUSTABLE STRAP INCLUDED
Silicone arm grips ensure non slip wear. For outdoors training, or for the use by younger students and athletes, we included an adjustable head strap that can be clipped on and off as needed.
